June through September is the dry, warm window: highs around 20-24C, long daylight, and the mountains and Gulf Islands fully open. Late September into October brings fall colour and thinner crowds. November through February is mild (rarely below freezing) but wet, with rain most days; it's a real season here, not an occasional storm, so plan an indoor-heavy trip if you're visiting then.
