December through February is also the coolest and most crowded, with the highest hotel rates. May starts to warm and humidify; June through October is hot, wet, and inside hurricane season, with afternoon storms most days.

New York and Orlando are best avoided at their weather extremes (NYC deep winter, Orlando peak summer humidity). Las Vegas and LA run pleasant nearly year round with brutal exceptions (Vegas summer heat). Miami has a hard seasonal split around hurricane season, June 1 to November 30.
