December to April is dry season and the easiest time to visit, with December-February the coolest (still 25-32C). March-April gets hot and sticky before the rains. May-November is wet season: short, heavy afternoon downpours most days, still very walkable, and hotel prices drop. Avoid Tet (lunar new year, dates shift yearly) unless you want closed shops.
