March to May and October to November bring warm, dry days without extreme heat, and the Sierra Nevada backdrop is still snow-capped into spring, a view you lose by midsummer. July and August regularly push 35-40C. December through February is genuinely cold at Granada's elevation, around 738m, with occasional snow.
