November to April is the dry season and the reliable window for island time, calm seas for the ferry crossing and consistent sun. December to February is coolest and busiest on the islands, book bungalows ahead. May through October brings the wet season, rougher ferry crossings on stormy days and a real chance of a washed-out beach afternoon, though prices drop and the crowds thin considerably.
